Getting rid of swelling

Now that I am going on my second ACL surgery (knee), I am going to have to deal with a lot of swelling. I have an ice compression machine and will be talking some anti-inflam pills. Anyone have any trade secrets?

Well be careful not to ice too long, no longer than 10 minutes, otherwise you'll delay circulation and healing to the site. Antiinflam meds like ibuprofen or naproxen will help within the first few days of the injury but after that it's just for pain relief. That's about all I know...

Damn, Jason, I thought you were the one to go to for advice. I could use some advice also as i recently injured my ankle and it's swelled up nice.
